DEFINITIONS – AUXILIARY APPOINTMENT Amended “Auxiliary Appointment” - An appointment for a period not to exceed thirty (30) assigned days of work. If an assignment is known to be in excess of thirty (30) assigned days of work prior to the appointment, it shall be posted as a term appointment. If an auxiliary appointment exceeds the thirty (30) assigned days, then that appointment shall be made a term appointment retroactively to its original start date. Upon approval from the Union, this appointment shall be confirmed and will not be subject to the posting process. Auxiliary appointments are as and when required and not intended to be used for ongoing or repeating work.
