FiledJune 18th, 2020The St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana project is located in southeast Louisiana, north of Lake Pontchartrain. The study area extends from the eastern boarder of Louisiana to just west of where the Tchefuncte River empties into Lake Pontchartrain. The Feasibility Cost Share Agreement was signed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority Board of Louisiana on January 14, 2020, which officially initiated the feasibility study phase of the project. The St. Tammany Parish study was authorized by the Water Infrastructure Improvements Act for the Nation Act (WINN Act) of 2016. Full Federal funding was provided through the BBA of 2018 (Public Law 115-123), Division B, Subdivision 1, Title IV.
