■The goal of the Rain Barrel and Compost Bin Project is to promote the use of rain barrels and compost bins in the City of Superior. The water that you collect in your rain barrel can be used to water indoor & outdoor potted plants and landscaped areas, cleaning off gardening tools and for other non-potable uses. Water is not safe for drinking or food preparation. Compost can be used to add nutrients to garden soil and potted house plants.
