From the development of Amean over the height of the FR, depicted in Figure 45, it can be recognized that starting from the bottom, for the LP1 FR design Amean is first reduced, compared to the Bench- mark FR design, and afterwards Amean of the two FR designs is converging at the part with the sig- nificant larger cross sectional area of the LP1 FR design. Thereby, compared to the Benchmark FR design, Amean of the LP1 FR design is reduced near the bottom due a higher share on invtotal directly above the bottom and a lower share at the section above with its large diameter. The convergence between Amean of the FR designs is caused by the significantly lager cross sectional area of the LP1 FR design.
