This agreement is between the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS UNION, LOCAL #1604 (hereinafter referred to as the “Union”) and the CITY OF BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON, (hereinafter referred to as the “Employer”). The purpose of the Union and the City entering into this agreement is to set forth their entire agreement with regard to wages, hours and working conditions so as to promote efficient and uninterrupted performance of Fire Department functions, morale, safety, and security of bargaining unit employees, and harmonious relations, giving full recognition to the rights and responsibilities of the Employer, the Union and the employees. The Employer and the Union shall work together to meet the proficiency requirements of the City; to provide the public with efficient and courteous service; to encourage good attendance of employees; and to promote a climate of labor relations that will aid in achieving a high level of efficiency in the Department.
