This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) constitutes an agreement between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the LEA FULL NAME (LEA INITIALS), pursuant to which ICE delegates to nominated, trained, certified, and authorized LEA INITIALS personnel the authority to perform certain immigration enforcement functions as specified herein. It is the intent of the parties that these delegated authorities will enable the LEA INITIALS to identify and process for removal, under ICE supervision, aliens in LEA INITIALS jail/correctional facilities who fall within ICE’s civil immigration enforcement priorities. The LEA INITIALS and ICE enter into this MOA in good faith and agree to abide by the terms and conditions contained herein.
