Contract Type FiledJanuary 25th, 2002This paper presents an analysis of the PPA between Dabhol Power Company (DPC), the Enron subsidiary handling Dabhol project, and Maharashtra State Electr icity Board (MSEB). The analysis is carried out in the techno-economic perspective and does not deal with issues like environmental and legal. The purpose of the analysis is to clarify the structure of the PPA and its techno - economic implications and to make an attempt to evolve a methodology to analyse such issues. Apart from the PPA, the analysis draws information from other publicly available documents and communications with MSEB. The first three sections in this paper elaborate various aspects of the structure of the PPA, while the later four sections deal with the important techno-economic implications.
