This Memorandum of Understanding is agreed between WOSM and ILO-IPEC in relation to cooperation in the activities both partners pursue to raise awareness within society through children and youth on issues of social justice, human rights and in particular, on child labour. This Memorandum of Understanding further seeks to promote effective cooperation in IPEC project countries and beyond for Scouts to contribute directly in complementary ways to the elimination of child labour through Scout activities, in particular through outreach programmes to children at risk and/or with particular needs. Cooperation under this Memorandum will promote joint activities to equip young people with the knowledge to understand the implications of globalization and to value responsibility, respect, and commitment.
