The proposed project involves improvements for the reconstruction of existing Merritt Road from a 2-lane roadway to a 4-lane divided arterial in accordance with City of Sachse standards for approximately 1.5 miles between Pleasant Valley Road and Sachse Road. The reconstructed Merritt Road facility will also be relocated at the northern terminus to align with existing Woodbridge Parkway, and the existing Merritt Road abandoned for approximately 800 feet directly south of Sachse Road. The project also includes turn lane and traffic signal improvements at the Sachse Road intersection, bridge class culvert facilities at two creek crossings, shared use path within roadway right of way and geotechnical engineering for design.
