THIS INVESTMENT ADVISORY AND SERVICE AGREEMENT, dated and effective as of the 1st day of November, 2010, is made and entered into by and between THE TAX-EXEMPT BOND FUND OF AMERICA, a Delaware statutory trust (the “Fund”), and CAPITAL RESEARCH AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY, a Delaware corporation (the “Investment Adviser”).
