THIS amended and restated investment advisory and service AGREEMENT, dated and effective as of the 1st day of May, 2023, is made and entered into by and between the american funds income series (the “Trust”), a Delaware statutory trust series consisting of one fund, U.S. Government Securities Fund (the “Fund”), and CAPITAL RESEARCH AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY, a Delaware corporation (the “Investment Adviser”).
