This amendment to the Participation Agreement dated as of October 15, 2017, as amended (the “Agreement”), is effective as of the 1st day of May, 2022, among Protective Life Insurance Company (“Company”) on its own behalf and on behalf of segregated asset accounts of the Company that may be established from time to time (individually an “Account” and collectively, the “Accounts”), DFA Investment Dimensions Group Inc. (“Fund”), Dimensional Fund Advisors LP (“Advisor”), and DFA Securities LLC (“DFAS”) (individually, a “Party” and collectively, the “Parties”). Capitalized terms used herein and not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings assigned to such terms in the Agreement.

This Amendment (the “Amendment”) to the Participation Agreement is entered into as of March 22, 2022, by and among the Company, on its own behalf and on behalf of each separate account of the Company as set forth in the Participation Agreement, as may be amended from time to time (individually and collectively the “Accounts”), and the Trust, on behalf of each Fund listed on the Amended and Restated Schedule B to the Participation Agreement (the “Portfolios”) (collectively, the “Parties”).
