Eksportfinans ASA, a Norwegian corporation (the Company), confirms its agreement with each of you (individually, an Agent, and collectively, the Agents, each including any Agent acceding to this agreement by way of an Accession Letter, as defined below) with respect to the issue and sale from time to time by the Company of its Medium-Term Notes (the Notes). The Notes are to be issued pursuant to an Indenture, dated as of February 20, 2004 (the Indenture, such term to include any supplement or amendment thereto), between the Company and The Bank of New York, as trustee (the Trustee). As of the date hereof, the Company has authorized the issuance of up to U.S.$2,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Notes through the Agents pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. It is understood, however, that the Company may from time to time authorize the issuance of additional Notes and that such Notes may be distributed through the Agents pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, all as though t
