THIS MASTER LEASE AGREEMENT NO. 1A (hereinafter this “Lease”) is dated as of the 8th day of September, 2004 (the “Effective Date”), and is between VENTAS REALTY, LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, a Delaware limited partnership (together with its successors and assigns, “Lessor”), and KINDRED HEALTHCARE, INC., a Delaware corporation formerly known as Vencor, Inc.
