This Master Custodian Contract (the “Contract”) is made as of August 25, 2009, by and among each management investment company identified on Appendix A hereto (each such investment company and each management investment company made subject to this Contract in accordance with Section 18 below shall hereinafter be referred to as a “Fund”), and State Street Bank and Trust Company, a Massachusetts trust company, hereinafter called the “Custodian”.

This Amended and Restated Securities Lending Authorization Agreement (the “Agreement”) is dated the 5th day of October, 2009 between RUSSELL INVESTMENT FUNDS, on behalf of its series listed on Schedule C, severally and not jointly, each a registered management investment company organized and existing under the laws of Massachusetts (the “Trust”), and STATE STREET BANK AND TRUST COMPANY acting either directly or through any State Street Affiliates (defined below) (collectively, “State Street”), and sets forth the terms and conditions under which State Street is authorized to act on behalf of the Trust with respect to the lending of certain securities of the Trust held by State Street as agent or custodian.
