This opinion is furnished to you pursuant to paragraph 8.5 of the Agreement and Plan of Reorganization (the “Agreement”), dated as of March 19, 2010, by and among Domini Social Investment Trust, a Massachusetts business trust (the “Trust”), on behalf of Domini International Social Equity Fund, a series thereof (the “Acquiring Fund”), and the Trust, on behalf of each of its series listed on Exhibit A to the Agreement under the heading “Acquired Fund” (the “Acquired Funds”). All capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein have the meanings ascribed to them in the Agreement. The Agreement contemplates the acquisition of all of the Assets of each Acquired Fund by the Acquiring Fund in exchange for, in each case, (a) the assumption by the Trust, on behalf of the Acquiring Fund, of the Liabilities of that Acquired Fund and (b) the issuance and delivery by the Trust, on behalf of the Acquiring Fund, to that Acquired Fund, for distribution, in accordance with paragraph 1.3 of the Agreement,
