THIS AGREEMENT, made as of the 3rd day of October 2012, and to have an effective date with respect to a Portfolio (as defined below) on or about April 1, 2013, or such earlier date as the parties may mutually agree in writing (the “Effective Date”), is by and between DIMENSIONAL INVESTMENT GROUP INC., having its principal office and place of business at 6300 Bee Cave Road, Building One, Austin, TX 78746 (the “Fund”) and STATE STREET BANK AND TRUST COMPANY a Massachusetts trust company having its principal office and place of business at 1 Lincoln Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02111 (the “Transfer Agent”).
