AMENDMENT NUMBER 1, dated as of October 15, 2019 (this “Amendment”), between MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY, a corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of Iowa (herein called the “Company”), and THE BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON TRUST COMPANY, N.A., a national banking association duly organized and existing under the laws of the United States of America, as Trustee (herein called the “Trustee”), to the Eighth Supplemental Indenture, dated as of January 9, 2019 (the “Eighth Supplemental Indenture”), between the Company and the Trustee, supplementing the Indenture, dated as of September 9, 2013 (the “Base Indenture”), between the Company and the Trustee.
