The City of Nevada has employed Rosetta Construction, LLC, of Springfield, MO, to construct improvements to our waste water collection system. The attached amendment includes six changes to their construction agreement. Details are included in the attached letter. This change will result in a net increase of $75,461.85 to the construction agreement. This project is funded by an SRF loan from the Missouri DNR. Our consulting engineer, Allgeier, Martin & Associates has recommended these changes, and the DNR has given approval. This ordinance will approve the attached change order.

The changes include a different brand of pumps as requested by the City, a thicker walled pipe in parts of the project, as suggested by the contractor, and inclusion of a permit from the Corps of Engineers into the agreement. The City of Nevada has employed the firm of RE Smith Construction to build two new public safety buildings. In planning the construction of the buildings, it has been determined that the following changes will result in a cost savings to the City, with minimal adverse effect to the project. Deletion of 4 benches and two trash receptacles from the Police/Courts building, and deletion of windows in the bay area of the Fire building will result in a total savings of $11,951. This ordinance will approve the change orders submitted by RE Smith for these deductions.

The Ventura Water asset management software service agreement expires May 31, 2021. As the original agreement was with Lucity, Inc., which was acquired by Tri Tech Technologies, Inc. (now Central Square Technologies, LLC.), staff determined it was best to draft a new, one year agreement for the annual licensing, service and support, consulting on demand, and the integration with the City’s Utility Billing software. This agreement will also include service and support for the Public Works Department.

Lacombe Performing Arts Centre Facility Operating Support Agreement

In 2020, Lacombe County provided operational and capital support towards the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre. The Centre is owned and operated by the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre Foundation. Capital funding was provided under the County’s RC(1) Capital Support of Recreation & Cultural Facilities Policy and the operational support was provided under the County’s RC(2) Operating Support for Recreation and Cultural Facilities Policy. The County provided $13,000 in operational support in 2020.
