The Associate in Arts – Direct Transfer Agreement (AA – DTA) is designed to facilitate students’ ability to transfer from GHC to a baccalaureate institution with junior standing having completed all general education requirements. The AA – DTA requires a minimum of 90 credits in courses numbered 100 or above with a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA. At least 45 credits must be chosen from the Distribution List of Approved Courses. In addition, students must fulfill requirements for graduation as described on page 31 of the catalog.

The Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) ensures that a student who completes the Associate in Arts degree will have satisfied all or most of the basic (general education) requirements at the university. This means, generally, that transfer students can begin work on their specialized major area of coursework as soon as they transfer. It is highly recommended that students meet with a counselor or academic adviser at Spokane Community College or Spokane Falls Community College on a regular basis to be sure that requirements specified in this degree are met.
