The course is designed to give students a pre-professional experience through participation in an internship in a setting related to their field of interest. The internship consists of 120 hours over the semester at an organization selected by the student and the internship coordinator. Internship hours at the site are one component of the grade for this course. In general, the student is expected to perform assigned tasks while demonstrating behavior consistent with the Loyola University Maryland Code of Ethics. It is important that all parties work quickly once an internship has been offered to ensure that a student does not miss the opportunity to receive academic credit.
