The borough is on a journey of significant change, with improvements in physical places where residents live; investment in how services are delivered to residents in those locations; and a new commitment in Lambeth First, the local strategic partnership, towards shared ownership and management of the borough’s opportunities and challenges.

LOCAL AREA AGREEMENT 2008/09-2010/11Local Area Agreement • February 19th, 2010
Contract Type FiledFebruary 19th, 2010Thurrock is a place that is rapidly changing. An identified growth area in the Thames Gateway, there are few places in the country that match the housing and employment growth that Thurrock will be subject to during the next twelve years. This growth is coupled with a significant regeneration work programme. Development will need to address a wide range of current infrastructure deficits as well as plan for the needs of Thurrock’s growing and diversifying population. With 18 miles of riverfront, Thurrock is also vulnerable to the future affect of climate change.

A Local Area Agreement For HaltonLocal Area Agreement • November 28th, 2006
Contract Type FiledNovember 28th, 2006People want to live in pleasant and thriving places. They want good quality services, a safe and attractive physical environment, accessible transport links, a strong sense of community and for there to be opportunities for all. Whilst that is the ideal, Halton is not alone in not meeting this standard. The intractable nature of many problems proves that long lasting remedies are not easy. Public services have improved markedly in recent years. However, despite this increasing efficiency significant and lasting improvements are only possible if underlying issues are addressed.

A Local Area Agreement For StaffordshireLocal Area Agreement • September 7th, 2006
Contract Type FiledSeptember 7th, 2006The main aim of this LAA is to deliver sustainable Staffordshire communities through better outcomes for local people. In practical terms, it is the three year delivery plan for delivering the outcomes in the County and District Community Strategies. The LAA has at its core, the delivery of seamless public services, which are developed according to the needs of the customer, rather than individual organisational boundaries. For service users this means that services will be easy to access, delivered for their communities, and responsive to their needs.
