Contrast-Enhanced Spectral Mammography Versus Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Intra- and Inter-Observer Agreements in Tumour Size Assessment
Original Article • March 27th, 2024

Introduction: In patients with locally advanced breast carcinomas undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC), imaging monitoring is important for guiding clinical management. Contrast-enhanced spectral mammography (CESM) is a recently introduced modality that may serve this purpose as an alternative to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We aimed to investigate intra- and inter-observer agreements in CESM and MRI in assessment of tumour size.

Agreement between the Denver II and Parents’ Evaluation of Developmental Status tests, with and without the assistance of a table of categorical responses
Original Article • April 9th, 2024

Background Among standardized developmental screening tools, the Denver II is commonly used by Indonesian pediatricians, but the Parent’s Evaluation of Developmental Status (PEDS) test has gained in popularity. The Denver II test is filled by physicians, while the PEDS test is meant to be filled by parents. From a prac- tical standpoint, however, parents often require assistance from doctors when filling out the PEDS forms. Hence, the advantage of the PEDS test over the Denver II test is not fully realized.

Interreader Agreement in Multiparametric Prostate Magnetic Resonance Imaging: A Head-to-Head Comparison between PI-RADSv2 and v2.1
Original Article • April 9th, 2018

Material and Method: Two hundred-two patients who had both multiparametric prostate magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) and 12 quadrant systematic biopsies were included in this retrospective study. Acquisition parameters were totally complied with proposal of PI-RADSv2 and 2.1 guidelines. mpMRIs were evaluated by two radiologists independently. Index lesion’s score was used to determine diagnostic performance of the systems. Gleason ≥ 3+4 tumors were considered clinically significant prostate cancer (CSCa). Kappa statistic was used to determine interreader agreement on overall PI-RADS scores. Area under the curve (AUC) was calculated in detection of CSCa using receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC).

Introduction: The role of the Ki-67 Proliferative Index (PI) in the molecular classification and as a predictive and prognostic biomarker in breast cancer is definitive. To address the inconsistency in Ki-67 interpretation and scoring, the International Ki-67 in Breast Cancer Working Group (IKWG) introduced the visual scoring Android Application (APP) and proposed a standardised scoring method.

Agreement and association between different indicators of body image and body mass index in adolescents
Original Article • September 5th, 2014

ABSTRACT: The aim of the study was to examine the correlation among different indicators of body image; between each one of these and nutritional status; and the association of these indicators with the Body Mass Index (BMI) of adolescents. A random sample of 152 students from public and private schools in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was studied. On four occasions, two silhouette scales and two questions regarding the opinion of the student about his/her body and weight were applied and weight and height were measured. The BMI was examined both as a continuous and as a categorical variable. The agreement between the variables was analyzed using the quadratic weighted Kappa statistics. The association between body image variables and BMI was examined by the comparison among median, mean, standard deviation and 95% confidence interval of BMI for each category of the body image variables. In general, the correlation among the body image variables ranged from reasonable to good; be

Comparison between Inter-rater Reliability and Inter-rater Agreement in Performance Assessment
Original Article • August 31st, 2010

Introduction: Over the years, performance assessment (PA) has been widely employed in medical education, Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) being an excellent ex- ample. Typically, performance assessment involves multiple raters, and therefore, consistency among the scores provided by the auditors is a precondition to ensure the accuracy of the assessment. Inter-rater agreement and inter-rater reliability are two indices that are used to ensure such scoring consistency. This research primarily examined the relationship between inter-rater agreement and inter-rater reliability. Materials and Methods: This study used 3 sets of simulated data that was based on raters’ evaluation of student performance to examine the relationship between inter-rater agreement and inter-rater reliability. Results: Data set 1 had high inter-rater agreement but low inter-rater reliability, data set 2 had high inter-rater reli- ability but low inter-rater agreement, and data set 3 had high inter-

Inter Observer Agreement In Fuhrman Nuclear
Original Article • August 18th, 2020

BACKGROUND: Among the many grading systems used in Renal cell carcinoma, the most widely accepted one is Fuhrman grading system, which is based on the nuclear size, outlines, and presence of nucleoli. This system has limited interobserver and intraobserver reproducibility due to many factors. Micrometer is a manually operated optical scale used for measuring cell dimensions in microscopy.

Agreement among methods for study estimation of elderly height at the nutrition ambulatory
Original Article • January 30th, 2019

Objective: to evaluate methods of elderly height estimation attended at the Nutrition ambulatory. Method: a total of 43 elderly individuals of both genders were evaluated during nutrition consultations. Sociodemographic data were collected from charts and height, knee height, arms wingspan and semi-span were measured. Statistical analysis were made through Bland-Altman test to evaluate concordance among statures estimated by predictive formulas and the height measured. Results: the values found were: height measured in meters 1.53 (±0.08), height estimated by the wingspan 1.60 (±0.10), by the semi-span 1.61 (±0.11) and by the knee height 1.56 (±0.10). According to the Bland-Altman graph, the height estimated by knee height showed a better agreement with the measured height. Conclusion: according to this study results, poor predictive formulas concordance in height estimation in elderly, using the measures: arms wingspan and semi-span with real stature measured were observed. Inter-Device Agreement of Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Measurements Using Spectral Domain Cirrus HD OCT
Original Article • March 10th, 2011

Results: The mean age of the participants was 25.82 ± 3.28 years and all had a 0.00 logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution of best-corrected visual acuity. The signal strengths of scans from the 2 Cirrus HD OCT were not sig- nificantly different (p = 0.317). The inter-device agreement of average RNFL thickness was excellent (α, 0.940; ICC, 0.945; COV, 2.45 ± 1.52%). However, the agreement of nasal quadrant RNFL thickness was not very good (α, 0.715; ICC, 0.716; COV, 5.72 ± 4.64%). Additionally, on the Bland-Atman plot, the extent of agreement of the 2 Cirrus HD OCTs for RNFL thickness was variable according to scanned sectors.
