Devices provided to students remain the property of PCS and are provided to allow students to access digital tools, communicate with teachers and other learners, build college and career readiness, and receive a personalized educational experience. As a condition of borrowing a device from PCS, Student and Student’s Parent/Guardian acknowledge and agree that they are making a commitment to responsibly care for the device and keep it in good condition, practice good digital citizenship, and make responsible decisions when using the device. Additionally by signing this agreement, Student and Student’s Parent/Guardian acknowledge and agree that this Agreement applies regardless of whether such use occurs on or off school district property and further that they are bound to and will abide by the following terms:

If any items are damaged or not returned, the student and parents agree that they will replace the necessary items.

To support student learning and ever-changing classroom needs, the Sultan School District has worked hard to acquire student devices (laptops/iPads) for all students. Typically, K-4 student devices remain in the classroom. This can change as needed. As of the 2021-22 school year, students in grades 5-12 will be checked out a device to use at school and to take home. This agreement acknowledges student use of district devices (at school and home) and only needs completed one time per student. You will have the option to opt into the laptop protection plan offered by the district yearly. If you have a student in grades 5-12 and have questions regarding take-home devices, please reach out to your school office.
