PURPOSE: TeleWork From Home (TWFH) allows employees to work temporarily from home for part or significant portions of their work-week. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Eugene School District considers TWFH to be a temporary, yet viable and flexible work option when both the employee and the work they perform are suited to such an arrangement. The district’s needs vary, and TWFH is based on the specific needs of the district, department and students, which may change in the future. It is not appropriate for all positions, times of year, or settings. For example, based on the nature of building administrators’ responsibilities, they are not generally eligible for telework. When TWFH is consistent with operational needs, the district will support this as a temporary arrangement.
