Test administrators (TAs or proctors) are Montana licensed professionals who have been trained, are familiar with standardized testing procedures, and are employed by the school system (ARM 10.56). Test administrators are responsible for following and administering the state tests for accountability and reporting purposes in accordance with the OPI’s standardized testing procedures. Test security is essential to uphold the quality of the tests which are used to make important inferences about students’ academic performance and progress, and to protect the contents of the test from unauthorized disclosure. Test Security Agreements are required for all staff administering or handling any component of state tests or accessing any student information through the online reporting systems.
