The Florida Department of Transportation (Department), is currently preparing to undertake a project, which involves reconstructing the SR9 (I-95) @ SR 16 Interchange, identified as financial project number FPID# 434615-2-52-01. The County has determined that it is in the best interest for the County to enter into a Utility Work by Highway Contractor (UWHC) agreement with the Department. This agreement requires the Department to perform and pay for the utility work with a total estimated project cost of $331,651.91. The County has determined its best served to have the Department relocate the existing gravity sewer and water mains to avoid current conflicts with this project. The County has reviewed and agreed to the terms, provisions, conditions, and requirements of the agreement and is requesting authorization from the Board of County Commissioners to enter into this agreement.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Glynn County has been awarded two TE grants for trail improvements in the area of Harry Driggers Blvd. (TE Projects 0010588 and 0009062). EMC Engineering has been awarded the contract for preliminary engineering for these projects and is currently finalizing the design plans. Due to cabling and proximity issues with the currently installed Georgia Power Poles, several of the poles will have to be replaced. The attached agreement establishes reimbursement to Georgia Power for their work to replace poles for this project. GDOT requires that the attached agreement be executed prior to releasing the project for construction.
