Abandonment Operations definition

Abandonment Operations means the removal and abandonment of facilities, installations, structures, artificial islands, ▇▇▇▇▇ , bore holes or any other items which are related to Petroleum Operations and which are disused or no longer required for Petroleum Operations in respect of the Contract Area.
Abandonment Operations means, with respect to each Phase I Well, the temporary or permanent plugging and abandonment of a Drilled Phase I Well as a dry hole or upon the unsuccessful Completion of Reworking Operations in a Reworked Phase I Well and, in each case, the restoration of the surface of the drillsite premises in accordance with the terms of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Lease and applicable Laws.
Abandonment Operations means operations conducted for the purpose of demolition, removal, destruction, conversion, temporary or long-term preservation or other technical solutions in accordance with the law and International Petroleum Industry Practices (IPIP) in respect of petroleum structures that are no longer necessary for petroleum operations constructed by the CONTRACTOR in connection with petroleum operations as regulated in Article 14.3.

Examples of Abandonment Operations in a sentence

  • Contractor shall conduct Abandonment Operations in accordance with the approved Abandonment Work Program and Budget ("AWP and B") described in Article 35.

  • Stratex shall use reasonable commercial efforts to provide Participant and EEZ with at least forty-eight (48) hours written notice concerning the anticipated time that any logging, coring, testing, Well Completion Operations, or Abandonment Operations will take place on each Phase I Well to allow Participant, EEZ, and/or its representatives sufficient time to be present at the wellsite to witness the same.

  • If such Reworking Operations fail to obtain or re-establish Hydrocarbon production from such Reworked Phase I Well, then subject to the terms of Section 3.5, Stratex, on behalf and at the direction of Participant, shall perform Abandonment Operations in such Reworked Phase I Well.

  • If Participant desires to perform Abandonment Operations in such Reworked Phase I Well, however, the provisions of Section 3.5(c) shall apply.

  • Kn = the estimated cost of the Abandonment Operations as provided in the Abandonment Plan at the end of the Calendar Year n-1.

  • Stratex, on behalf and at the direction of Participant, shall thereupon log, core, and test each Drilled Phase I Well and perform either Well Completion Operations and Equipping Operations therein or, subject to the terms of Section 3.5, Abandonment Operations therein, all as provided herein.

  • If Stratex recommends operations other than the performance of Abandonment Operations, and Participant concurs with Stratex’s recommendation, Stratex shall perform such recommended operations, including any recommended Well Completion Operations and related Equipping Operations, utilizing proven completion techniques and in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, the M▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Lease, the Surface Use Agreement, and applicable Law.

  • For the purposes of this Article, the functions of management, leading, administration and leadership of the Exploration, Evaluation, Development, Hydrocarbon Production and Abandonment Operations, as well as the Contractor's representation before the ▇▇▇ are considered functions inherent in the Operator.

  • It corresponds to that derived from the performance of the Technical Assessment, Exploration, Evaluation, where appropriate, Development, Production and Abandonment Operations, which must take place with strict subjection to the superior order, and to the Good Practices of the Petroleum Industry.

Related to Abandonment Operations

  • Development Operations means operations carried out for or in connection with the development of a mine and includes -

  • Joint Operations means all operations necessary or proper for the development, operation, protection and maintenance of the Joint Property.

  • Drilling operations means the drilling of an oil and gas well and the production and completion operations ensuing from the drilling which require entry upon the surface estate and which were commenced after June 30, 1979, and oil and gas geophysical and seismograph exploration activities commenced after June 30, 1983.
