Above Reproach definition

Above Reproach. (v. 2). This phrase means that a pastor should be beyond reproach. There should be nothing in his life from which he could be accused of ungodliness, immorality, or any behavior disqualifying him from fulfilling his pastoral duties.
Above Reproach. (“amoma”) also means “without blemish, faultless, unblamable” (Thayer, page 33). Note its use in Ephesians 1:4, Colossians 1:22.
