Accreditation Functions definition

Accreditation Functions means the accreditation functions referred to in Part 6 of the National Law which are set out in Schedule 2. Accreditation Systems Review means the Independent Review of Accreditation Systems in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme commissioned by the Australian Health Ministers’ Advisory Council. Confidential Information of a party (Disclosing Party) means all information (regardless of its form) disclosed or otherwise made available by the Disclosing Party to the other party (Receiving Party) or of which the Receiving Party otherwise becomes aware in connection with this Agreement and the transactions contemplated by this Agreement which is marked as confidential, or which by its nature and in the circumstances would be regarded as confidential by a reasonable person, or which the parties agree in writing is confidential (and includes Protected Information, Personal Information and all Health Information), except to the extent it:

Accreditation Functions means the accreditation functions referred to in Part 6 of the National Law which are set out in Schedule 2. Agreement means this agreement, including its schedules. Approved Accreditation Standards has the meaning given to it in section 5 of the National Law. Approved Program of Study has the meaning given to it in section 5 of the National Law. AHPRA Material means all Material made available to the Accreditation Authority by AHPRA or the Board to perform the Accreditation Functions. Business Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or a day that is a public holiday in Melbourne, Victoria. Claim means any cause of action, allegation, claim, demand, debt, liability, suit or proceeding of any nature howsoever arising and whether present or future, fixed or unascertained, actual or contingent or at law (including negligence), in equity, under statute or otherwise. Commencement Date has the meaning set out in Item 1 of Schedule 1.

Examples of Accreditation Functions in a sentence

  • If there are changes to the National Law or any relevant decisions by Ministers in connection with the Accreditation Systems Review which may impact on the ability of the Accreditation Committee to carry out its Accreditation Functions consistently with these Terms of Reference, the Board will amend the Terms of Reference in consultation with the Accreditation Committee and AHPRA to resolve the issues.

  • A The Physiotherapy Board of Australia (Board) has decided that the Accreditation Authority will exercise Accreditation Functions for the physiotherapy profession, pursuant to section 43 of the National Law.

  • Nothing in this Agreement affects the decision of the Board to authorise the Accreditation Authority to undertake the Accreditation Functions.

  • Conflict means any matter, circumstance, interest or activity that reasonably may or may appear to, impair or compromise the ability of the Accreditation Committee to perform the Accreditation Functions and otherwise carry out its duties diligently, independently and in accordance with these Terms of Reference and the National Law.

  • Third Party Fees means the fees that the Board approves and AHPRA charges education providers in connection with the performance of the Accreditation Functions by the Accreditation Committee.

  • In this document: Accreditation Functions means the accreditation functions referred to in Part 6 of the National Law which are set out in Attachment B.

  • Accreditation functions assigned Since commencement of the National Scheme, the following accreditation functions have been assigned to the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) as outlined in the Agreement for Accreditation Functions between AHPRA and APC.

  • Accreditation means accreditation as defined in point 10 of Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No 765/2008;

  • Governmental function means an activity that is expressly or impliedly mandated or authorized by constitution, statute, local charter or ordinance, or other law.   • Medicaid Provider Agreement means an agreement entered into between a state agency or other such entity administering the Medicaid program and a health care provider or supplier under which the health care provider or supplier agrees to provide services for Medicaid patients in accordance with the terms of the agreement and Medicaid Regulations.

  • Applicable Insurance Regulatory Authority means, when used with respect to any Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department or similar administrative authority or agency located in (x) the state or other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary is domiciled or (y) to the extent asserting regulatory jurisdiction over such Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department, authority or agency in each state or other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary is licensed, and shall include any Federal insurance regulatory department, authority or agency that may be created in the future and that asserts regulatory jurisdiction over such Insurance Subsidiary.

  • Form, fit, and function data means technical data that describes the required overall physical, functional, and performance characteristics (along with the qualification requirements, if applicable) of an item, component, or process to the extent necessary to permit identification of physically and functionally interchangeable items.

  • Registry Services are, for purposes of the Agreement, defined as the following: (a) those services that are operations of the registry critical to the following tasks: the receipt of data from registrars concerning registrations of domain names and name servers; provision to registrars of status information relating to the zone servers for the TLD; dissemination of TLD zone files; operation of the registry DNS servers; and dissemination of contact and other information concerning domain name server registrations in the TLD as required by this Agreement; (b) other products or services that the Registry Operator is required to provide because of the establishment of a Consensus Policy as defined in Specification 1; (c) any other products or services that only a registry operator is capable of providing, by reason of its designation as the registry operator; and (d) material changes to any Registry Service within the scope of (a), (b) or (c) above.

  • Agencies means the Department, the Agency for International Develop- ment (AID), the International Commu- nication Agency (USICA), the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), and the Foreign Commercial Service (FCS).

  • Specialist Physician means a licensed physician who qualifies as an attending physician and who examines a patient at the request of the attending physician or authorized nurse practitioner to aid in evaluation of disability, diagnosis, or provide temporary specialized treatment. A specialist physician may provide specialized treatment for the compensable injury or illness and give advice or an opinion regarding the treatment being rendered, or considered, for a patient’s compensable injury.

  • Insurance Regulatory Authority means, with respect to any Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department or similar Governmental Authority charged with regulating insurance companies or insurance holding companies, in its jurisdiction of domicile and, to the extent that it has regulatory authority over such Insurance Subsidiary, in each other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary conducts business or is licensed to conduct business.

  • Covered Government support contractor means a contractor (other than a litigation support contractor covered by 252.204-7014) under a contract, the primary purpose of which is to furnish independent and impartial advice or technical assistance directly to the Government in support of the Government’s management and oversight of a program or effort (rather than to directly furnish an end item or service to accomplish a program or effort), provided that the contractor—

  • Joint Commission means the accrediting body whose standards are referred to in these Bylaws.

  • Distribution Function means the functions with regard to:

  • Credentialing means the process of collecting, assessing, and validating qualifications and other relevant information pertaining to a health care provider to determine eligibility and to deliver Covered Services.

  • Agency(ies) means any government regulatory authority or authorities in the world responsible for granting approval(s), clearance(s), qualification(s), license(s), or permit(s) for any aspect of the research, Development, manufacture, marketing, distribution, or sale of a Product. The term “Agency” includes, without limitation, the United States Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”).

  • Trustee Functions means the functions set out in paragraph 6;

  • Health Care Permits means any and all permits, licenses, authorizations, certificates, certificates of need, accreditations and plans of third-party accreditation agencies that are (a) necessary to enable any Borrower to operate any health care facility or participate in and receive payment under any Government Reimbursement Program or other Third Party Payor Arrangement, as applicable, or otherwise continue to conduct its business as it is conducted on the Closing Date, or (b) required under any Health Care Law.

  • Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database means the primary Government repository for Contractor information required for the conduct of business with the Government.

  • SRO means (i) any “self-regulatory organization” as defined in Section 3(a)(26) of the Exchange Act and (ii) any other United States or foreign securities exchange, futures exchange, commodities exchange or contract market.

  • Service and support administrator means a person, regardless of title, employed by or under contract with a county board to perform the functions of service and support administration and who holds the appropriate certification in accordance with rule 5123:2-5-02 of the Administrative Code.

  • Passenger Services means, those railway passenger services provided by or on behalf of the Beneficiary pursuant to the permission to use track granted in accordance with the Track Access Agreement;

  • Reporting Subcontractor means with respect to any Person, any Subcontractor for such Person that is “participating in the servicing function” within the meaning of Item 1122 of Regulation AB. References to a Reporting Subcontractor shall refer only to the Subcontractor of such Person and shall not refer to Subcontractors generally.
