Acting Appointments definition

Acting Appointments means the assignment of employees to an Existing Vacancy or Temporary Vacancy.

  • However, where operationally necessary, Acting Appointments may be extended for up to an additional twelve (12) months.

  • For the purpose of these provisions, CSC will apply the following: Acting appointments and assignments will be made in accordance with CSC’s Bulletin on Acting Appointments, as amended from time to time.

  • It is understood and mutually agreed by the employee, the Union, and the Department Director or designee that the purpose of such training is not to circumvent the Temporary Assignments and Acting Appointments Article in this Agreement.

  • Such Acting Appointments will be limited to period of time not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days.

Related to Acting Appointments

  • Initial appointment means appointment made otherwise than by promotion or transfer;

  • Power of appointment means a power that enables a powerholder acting in a nonfiduciary capacity to designate a recipient of an ownership interest in or another power of appointment over the appointive property. The term does not include a power of attorney.

  • Excluded Appointments means those Appointments designated from time to time as "Excluded Appointments" by agreement of the parties.

  • Succeeded Appointment means any Appointment for which a Succession Time has occurred.

  • General power of appointment means a power of appointment exercisable in favor of the powerholder, the powerholder's estate, a creditor of the powerholder, or a creditor of the powerholder's estate.
