For Acute Illness, Family or Personal Emergency A student who is absent because of an acute illness or personal emergency is required to notify the Office of Education immediately to advise them of the situation.
Undergraduate students must successfully complete with a grade of B or better 12 credits of honors coursework drawn from the required course, NURS 641H, Translating Research for Practice (4 cr.), and remaining 8 credits chosen from the following courses: NURS 612H, Care of the Adult with Acute Illness 2 (4 cr.); NURS 627WH, Clinical Judgment in Nursing (4 cr.); and NURS 705H, Contemporary Leadership within Health Care Systems (4 cr.).
Employees must use all eligible Paid Leave and Acute Illness Leave prior to authorization of unpaid leave.
