Add Grace Period definition

Add Grace Period means the period of time during which a Domain Name may be deleted after its initial registration and no charge would be levied by Registry to the Registrar for such registration. Such period of time is currently defined as five (5) days.
Add Grace Period or “AGP” means a 5-day period starting from the registration of a domain name, during which the creation operation can be cancelled and the registrar refunded.

Examples of Add Grace Period in a sentence

  • The Add Grace Period is a specified number of calendar days following the initial registration of a domain.

  • Transfers under Part A of the ICANN Policy on Transfer of Registrations between Registrars may not occur during the Add Grace Period or at any other time within the first 60 days after the initial registration.

  • The current value of the Add Grace Period for all registrars is five calendar days.

  • Bulk transfers with ICANN approval may be made during the Add Grace Period according to the procedures in Part B of the ICANN Policy on Transfer of Registrations between Registrars.

  • A domain name is placed in REDEMPTIONPERIOD status when a registrar requests the deletion of a domain that is not within the Add Grace Period.

  • If a domain is extended within the Add Grace Period, there is no credit for the add.

  • If a domain is renewed/extended within the Add Grace Period, there is no credit for the add.

  • The current value of the Add Grace Period for all Registrars is five calendar days.

  • A domain name is placed in REDEMPTIONPERIOD status when a Registrar requests the deletion of a domain that is not within the Add Grace Period.

  • If a domain is deleted within the Add Grace Period, the sponsoring Registrar at the time of the deletion is credited for the amount of the registration; provided, however, that Registry Operator shall have the right to charge Registrars a fee as set forth in its Registry-Registrar Agreement for disproportionate deletes during the Add Grace Period.
