Adjunct Duty definition

Adjunct Duty. A duty not directly related to instruction of children which has been identified by each school administrator/leadership team in coordination with the Division Committee as required to be performed by one or more unit members under a “point system” assignment method. Examples include: District committees, school committees, athletic supervision, chaperoning dances, etc.
Adjunct Duty is defined to mean activities that are “adjunct” to a teacher’s primary duties, i.e. activities not pertaining to a teacher’s specific classroom duties. Examples of adjunct duty include, but are not limited to: school detention (as opposed to individual class detention), committees/activities that pertain to District-wide and/or school site issues, coordinating general programs, student activities--including but not limited to extracurricular activities and co-curricular activities-- crowd control and administrative conferences. The following may be considered, but not limited to, adjunct duties as defined by this Article: ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ (football and basketball), Time Keeper (football, boys and girls basketball). The District will retain the opportunity to assign whomever the District deems will work best in the duties described in this paragraph.

Examples of Adjunct Duty in a sentence

  • Additional programs, if assigned by the principal, may be negotiated for Adjunct Duty points.

  • A faculty Adjunct Duty and After School/Evening Activity Committee shall be established, composed of a CVEA representative and no more than one teacher for every fifteen certificated staff members.

  • The principal will draft a tentative plan for adjunct duty and after school/evening activities which includes place/time and frequency, and submit it to the Adjunct Duty and After School/Evening Activity Committee for review.

  • The committee shall communicate the position of staff to the principal and serve as a liaison recognizing that the objective is to reach consensus regarding an Adjunct Duty and After School/Evening Activity Schedule.

  • After conducting this process to minimize duties, the principal will establish the Adjunct Duty and After School/Evening Activity Schedule for the year.

  • Adult Education teachers employed in California Adult Education Block Grant funded programs on an as-needed basis shall be covered by all the articles of this Agreement with the exception of Class Size and Classroom Teacher Allocation, Hours of Employment and Adjunct Duty, Salary Schedules Rules, Leaves, Evaluation, Transfers and Reassignments, Part-Time/Reduced Services Employment, and Professional Development.

  • The annually approved RTPA/RUSD Approved Adjunct Duty, Site Committee, and Site Stipend List shall be posted on the RUSD website and shall be emailed to the RTPA President no later than May 15 annually.

  • Any RTPA/RUSD approved additions shall be added to the current year’s annual RTPA/RUSD Approved Adjunct Duty, Site Committee and Site Stipend List and the updated list shall be posted on the RUSD website within ten (10) days.

  • Adjunct Duty will be allowed to take place during the duty day and still be credited as part of the teacher’s 20 hours of adjunct duty.

Related to Adjunct Duty

  • Active duty means full-time duty status in the active, uniformed services of the United States, including without limitation members of The National Guard and Reserve on active duty orders under 10 U.S.C. §§ 1209 and 1210.

  • Screening Test Technician (STT) means anyone who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and operates an ASD.

  • Serviced Duty means all duties and obligations of the Sellers in a Corporate Trust Capacity under the Serviced Corporate Trust Contract related to each Serviced Appointment, in each case, other than any Retained Duty.

  • Active duty military means full-time duty status in the active uniformed service of the United States, including members of the National Guard and Reserve on active duty orders pursuant to 10 U.S.C. Chapters 1209 and 1211.

  • Contractor Commercially Sensitive Information means the information listed in the Contractor Commercial Sensitive Information Annex to the Contract being information notified by the Contractor to the Authority which is acknowledged by the Authority as being commercially sensitive information.
