exclusive licence means a licence from the proprietor of or applicant for a patent conferring on the licensee, or on him and persons authorised by him, to the exclusion of all other persons (including the proprietor or applicant), any right in respect of the invention to which the patent or application relates, and “exclusive licensee” and “non-exclusive licence” shall be construed accordingly;
licence means a licence granted under this Act;
Supply Licence means the licence granted to us under section 6(1)(d) of the Act;
network licence means the network licence, as the same is amended from time to time, granted to Network Rail Infrastructure Limited by the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under section 8 of the Railways Act l993;
relevant licence means a production licence for petroleum in force under Part III of the Petroleum Act 1967 immediately before the commencement of this section.
Site License means for each product, the term “Site License” shall mean the license established upon acquisition of the applicable number of copies of such product and payment of the applicable license fees as set forth in the Statement of Work.
Software License means a license for the Software granted under this XXXX to the Licensee;
Open Source License means any license meeting the Open Source Definition (as promulgated by the Open Source Initiative) or the Free Software Definition (as promulgated by the Free Software Foundation), or any substantially similar license, including any license approved by the Open Source Initiative or any Creative Commons License. “Open Source Licenses” shall include Copyleft Licenses.
Generation Licence means an electricity generation licence granted or treated as granted pursuant to section 6(1)(a) of the EA 1989 that authorises a person to generate electricity;
Special Railway Licence means the relevant miscellaneous licence for railway and, if applicable, other purposes, granted to the Company pursuant to subclause (6)(a)(i) as varied in accordance with subclause (6)(h) or subclause (6)(i) and according to the requirements of the context describes the area of land from time to time the subject of that licence;
Exclusive License has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1.

Approved Flag means the Xxxxxxxx Islands flag, the Liberian flag, the Panama flag or any other flag which the Agent may approve as the flag on which a Ship may be registered;

exploration licence means an exploration licence under Part 2 of the Mineral Resources Development Act 1990; S. 3(1) def. of "fish" inserted by No. 40/2002 s. 3(a).
Approved costs means the eligible costs or expenditures2 as approved by the Provider, and as defined in the Agreement or Decision on Grant Funding to carry out the Grant Project.
Software License Agreement means the particular Software License Agreement to which these Terms and Conditions are attached and incorporated into by reference.
Licence Agreement means an agreement (whether or not in writing) between the owner of student accommodation and a student giving a licence to the student;
Licence Fees means the fees, the amount of is indicated in the Purchase Order, paid by the Client in consideration of the Licence.
FLEGT-licensed means production and process methods, also referred to as timber production standards, and in the context of social criteria, contract performance conditions (only), as defined by a bilateral Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) between the European Union and a timber- producing country under the FLEGT scheme, where both Parties have agreed to establish a system under which timber that has been produced in accordance with the relevant laws of the producing country, and other criteria stipulated by the VPA, are licensed for export by the producing country government. This may also include any timber that has been independently verified as meeting all the producing country's requirements for a FLEGT licence, where a VPA has been signed but the FLEGT licensing system is not fully operational. Evidence from a country that has not signed up to a VPA which demonstrates that all of the requirements equivalent to FLEGT-licensed timber have been met will also be acceptable. CPET will produce further guidance on FLEGT-licensed or equivalent timber in due course.
Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry means a mortgage licensing system developed and maintained by the conference of state bank supervisors and the American association of residential mortgage regulators for the licensing and registration of licensed mortgage loan originators.

Third Party License means licenses from third parties governing third party software embedded or used in the Trading Platform.
Licensing Agreement means a commercial agreement between a design approval holder and a production approval holder (or applicant) formalizing the rights and duties of both parties to use the design data for the purpose of manufacturing the product or article.
Package License means the Metric and Licensed Level applicable to each Package; a Package License for any Package referenced in Exhibit 3 shall include, and be subject to, the specific terms and Use rules applicable to such Package.
