Advanced practice nurse (APN) definition
Advanced practice nurse (APN) means a registered nurse approved by the board of nursing as an advance practice nurse under Chapter 4723. of the Revised Code and who holds a certificate of authority to practice as a clinical nurse specialist, certified registered nurse anesthetist, certified nurse midwife or certified nurse practitioner under Chapter 4723. of the Revised Code.
Advanced practice nurse (APN) means a Provider of medical and preventive services, including Certified Nurse Midwives, Certified Family Nurse Practitioners and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, who is licensed as an APN, holds a valid license in Illinois, is legally authorized under statute or rule to provide services, and is enrolled with the Department and contracted with Contractor.
Advanced practice nurse (APN) means a person currently licensed to practice as a registered professional nurse who is certified by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing in accordance with N.J.A.C. 13:37-7, and with N.J.S.A. 45:11-24 and 45 through 52, or similarly licensed and certified by a comparable agency of the state in which he or she practices.
