Aftercare Support Services definition
Aftercare Support Services means services intended to assist young adults in developing “the skills and abilities necessary for independent living”. These services specifically include temporary financial assistance, mentoring and tutoring, mental health services and substance abuse counseling, life skills classes, including credit management and preventive health activities, parenting classes, job skills training, and counselor consultations. Temporary assistance to prevent homelessness should be considered emergency assistance.
