Agricultural cooperation. The aims of the cooperation on agriculture will be: (a) to promote sustainable rural development through the exchange of experience, generation of partnership and execution of projects in areas of mutual interest such as: agricultural innovation and technology transfer for the development of small farming, the conservation and management of the water resource for agricultural use, the application of good agricultural and agro industrial practices, including gender approach in development policies and strategies, among others; (b) to promote the exchange of relevant information for agricultural exports between the 2 markets; and (c) to develop a training program addressed to leader producers, technicians and professionals for the application of new technologies in order to increase and improve agriculture and animal husbandry productivity and competitiveness, in particular of value added products.
Agricultural cooperation. The objectives of cooperation in agriculture are to: (a) promote the creation of partnerships for projects in areas of mutual interest, including agricultural research including plantation commodities, the development of small-scale agriculture, the conservation and management of water resources for agricultural use, sustainable agricultural development, and the application of good agricultural practices, among others; (b) promote the exchange of information on trade in agricultural goods between the Parties; and (c) develop training programs for leading producers, technicians, and professionals in order to improve the productivity and competitiveness in livestock and agricultural value-added products .
Agricultural cooperation. The two sides recognize the importance of promoting cooperation in the field of agriculture, and shall in particular: a. promote cooperation between their respective private farming sectors; b. facilitate and promote smooth trade between the respective markets; c. examine ways to facilitate the establishment of joint ventures; d. establish channels for the exchange of information on farming methods, irrigation, water and soil treatment, herbicides, pesticides, etc.; e. cooperate and coordinate in the field of plant protection and veterinary diseases; f. promote joint efforts to combat desertification and encourage the development of agricultural projects in arid and semi-arid areas.

Agricultural cooperation. 1. The Parties intend to strengthen and promote cooperative activities, to be mutually agreed upon by the Parties, in agricultural science and agricultural technology. Such activities may include mutually agreed information exchanges and cooperation. The Parties intend their cooperative activities to be based on, among other things, the principles of integrity, reciprocity, openness, transparency, science, and rule of law.
Agricultural cooperation. The Parties recognize that agriculture constitutes a basic activity for both Parties, and that the improvement of this economic field will improve the quality of life and social and economic development in their territories. To achieve these objectives, and in accordance with their domestic laws, regulations and procedures, the Parties shall cooperate, inter alia, in activities to: a) to promote sustainable rural development through the exchange of experiences, the generation of partnerships and the implementation of projects in areas of mutual interest such as: agricultural innovation and technology transfer for the development of small-scale agriculture, the conservation and management of water resources for agricultural use, the application of good agricultural and agro- industrial practices, including a gender approach in development policies and strategies, among others; b) promote the exchange of information relevant to agricultural exports between the two markets; c) to develop a training program aimed at leading producers, technicians and professionals for the application of innovative technologies to increase and improve the productivity and competitiveness of agriculture and livestock, particularly value- added products; d) strengthen the institutional capacities of government agencies, research institutions, universities and companies in the areas of scientific research and technology transfer and validation, including, among others, soil management and nutrition, irrigation and drainage, animal nutrition, protected environment horticulture, traceability and safety, biofuels, and control of best manufacturing practices, food safety, diagnostic protocols (diseases) and control systems in the agricultural and livestock sectors; e) develop and validate technologies for agricultural and livestock production with higher quality and lower environmental impact; f) support, through market access, the production of non-traditional crops with a significant level of biodiversity components; g) to support, through the improvement of laboratories and the construction of industrial and technological parks, the innovation of agroindustrial products, as well as traceability systems; and h) strengthen cooperation in sanitary and phytosanitary areas between the relevant institutions of each Party with a view to facilitating access to the markets of the other Party.
Agricultural cooperation. The Parties shall undertake cooperation and capacity building activities in areas related to agriculture and agricultural trade for mutual benefit.
