Aid Diversion definition

Aid Diversion means any event that prevents funds being directed to the aid outcomes or recipients intended;

Aid Diversion means any event, including fraud, corruption, bribery (including for purposes of the Bribery Act 2010), theft, terrorist financing, money laundering and other misuse of funds that prevents the Grant being directed to the outputs and activities of the Project, or funds being directed to the aid outcomes or recipients intended;

Examples of Aid Diversion in a sentence

• The Grant Recipient will take timely and appropriate action to investigate credible allegations of Financial Irregularity or Aid Diversion, immediately inform the Authority of the steps being taken to investigate the suspicion, and keep the Authority informed about the progress of the investigation.

• Notwithstanding any other provisions in this Grant Agreement, the Authority may recover from the Grantee all or part of the Grant paid under this Grant Agreement in the event of actual or suspected Aid Diversion.

• The Parties acknowledge and agree that they have a zero tolerance approach towards Aid Diversion, including any associated inappropriate behaviour.

• Both Parties will fully co-operate with investigations into actual, suspected or alleged Aid Diversion, whether led by the Authority or the Grantee.

• The Parties will immediately and without undue delay inform each other of any actual, suspected or alleged Aid Diversion in the case of the Grantee by immediately contacting the Authority’s Anti Fraud and Corruption Unit (AFCU) at xxxx@xxx.xxx.xx or +00 (0)0000 000000 (where all information will be treated confidentiality in accordance with the terms of this Grant Agreement) or by informing the Authority staff responsible for managing this Grant Agreement.

• The Lead Partner must inform THET immediately if there are any grounds for suspecting Aid Diversion and/or financial irregularity in the use of the Grant, explain what steps are being taken to investigate the Aid Diversion or financial irregularity (as applicable) and keep THET informed about the progress of the investigation.

• Aid Diversion is any event, including fraud, corruption, bribery, theft, terrorist financing, money laundering and other misuse of funds that prevents funds being directed to the aid outcomes or recipients intended.

• The Participants have a zero tolerance approach towards Aid Diversion, including any associated inappropriate behaviour.

• At this point it is necessary to pause and to take a position on an issue of debate among constructivist institutionalists.

• Both Parties will fully co-operate with investigations into actual, suspected or alleged Aid Diversion, whether led by the Authority or the Recipient.
