American Style definition

American Style means the Options style which allows an Exercise at any time between the Trade Day and Expiration Day;

American Style means an Option which allows the Grantee to exercise the Option at any time up to and including the date of the Option’s expiration.

American Style means, in relation to the exercise style of the Warrant, a Warrant which can be exercised between 9.00am and the Closing Time on any Business Day from the date of issue up to and including the Expiry Date.

Examples of American Style in a sentence

• Option contracts may be of European Style, where the holder of the option can exercise his right on the date of expiration only, or of American Style, where the holder can exercise his right anytime between the purchase date and the expiration date.

• An Extraordinary Resolution passed at any meeting of the Warrantholders shall be binding on all the Warrantholders, whether or not they are present at the meeting, save, in the case of Warrants which are expressed to be American Style, for those Warrants remaining unexercised but for which an Exercise Notice shall have been submitted prior to the date of the meeting.

• In the case of Warrants which are expressed to be American Style, Warrants which have not been exercised but in respect of which an Exercise Notice has been submitted will not confer the right to attend or vote at, or join in convening, or be counted in quorum for, any meeting of the Warrantholders.

• American Style Warrants are exercisable on any Business Day during the Exercise Period.

• If the Warrants are American Style Warrants, upon exercise of less than all the Warrants constituted by the Global Warrant, the Common Depositary will, on the instructions of, and on behalf of, the Principal Warrant Agent, note such exercise on the Schedule to the Global Warrant and the number of Warrants so constituted shall be reduced by the cancellation pro tanto of the Warrants so exercised.

• American Style means, in respect of a CitiFirst Warrant, a CitiFirst Warrant that can be exercised on any Business Day during an Exercise Period.ASIC means the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

• As a general rule, MexDer will list and keep available for trading, American Style Stock Option contracts.

• The following provisions of this Condition 3(A) shall apply to Warrants which are expressed to be American Style.

• Any American Style Warrant with respect to which no Exercise Notice (as defined below) has been delivered in the manner set out in Condition 5, at or prior to 10.00 a.m., Luxembourg or Brussels time, as the case may be, on the last Business Day of the Exercise Period (“Expiration Date”), shall become void.

• In the case of American Style Warrants, Warrants which have not been exercised but in respect of which an Exercise Notice has been submitted will not confer the right to attend or vote at, or join in convening, or be counted in the quorum for, any meeting of the Warrantholders.
