An unilateral amendment definition

An unilateral amendment means an “administrative change” by a written amendment that does not affect the substantive rights of the parties. Only the AO needs to sign a unilateral amendment. The AO may execute the following types of unilateral amendments without any further approvals:‌ ● Incremental funding actions;‌ ● An extension authorized by 2 CFR 200.308(e)(2); and‌‌‌ ● Other administrative changes, like changes to the AOR, award administration office, payment office, and other non-substantial changes.‌
