Aorta Surgery definition

Aorta Surgery means surgery to the aorta that is medically required to treat disease of the aorta and that involves the excision and surgical replacement of the diseased aorta with a graft. The Aortic Surgery must be performed on the prior written advice of a Physician certified as a cardiovascular surgeon. Aorta includes the thoracic and abdominal aorta but does not include any of the branches of the aorta.

  • Surgery means any of the following:

  • Ambulatory surgical center (FREESTANDING) means a state licensed facility, which is equipped to provide surgery services on an outpatient basis.

  • Cosmetic Surgery means any Surgery, service, Drug or supply designed to improve the appearance of an individual by alteration of a physical characteristic which is within the broad range of normal but which may be considered unpleasing or unsightly, except when necessitated by an Injury.

  • Drug therapy management means the review of a drug therapy regimen of a patient by one or more pharmacists for the purpose of evaluating and rendering advice to one or more practitioners regarding adjustment of the regimen.

  • Medical cannabis pharmacy means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.
