Competition Law means any Law that is designed or intended to prohibit, restrict or regulate actions having the purpose or effect of monopolization or lessening of competition through merger or acquisition or restraint of trade.
Competition Laws means statutes, rules, regulations, orders, decrees, administrative and judicial doctrines, and other laws that are designed or intended to prohibit, restrict or regulate actions having the purpose or effect of monopolization, lessening of competition or restraint of trade.
Applicable Data Protection Law means all data privacy or data protection laws or regulations globally that apply to the Processing of Personal Information under this Data Processing Agreement, which may include Applicable European Data Protection Law.
Competition Act means the Competition Act (Canada).
Anti-competitive practice means any collusion, bid rigging or anti- competitive arrangement, or any other practice coming under the purview of the Competition Act, 2002, between two or more bidders, with or without the knowledge of the Bank, that may impair the transparency, fairness and the progress of the procurement process or to establish bid prices at artificial, non- competitive levels;
Applicable Data Protection Laws means all national, international and local laws, regulations and rules by any government, agency or authority relating to data protection and privacy which are applicable to CPA Global or the Customer, including but not limited to The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), (GDPR);
Non-Competition Period means the period the Executive is employed by the Company plus one (1) year from the Termination Date if the Executive's employment is terminated (i) by the Company for any reason, (ii) by the Executive for any reason, or (iii) by reason of either the Company's or the Executive's decision not to extend the term of this Agreement as contemplated by Section 1 hereof.
Further Competition Procedure means the ordering procedure described in paragraph 3 of Schedule 5 (Ordering Procedure) of this Framework Agreement;
Competitions means any competition comprised within the Event where the winner is awarded a prize. A Competition may be comprised of one or more qualification phase/sections, runs or heats, including official training sessions. In the FIS Rules, Competitions are sometimes also referred to as “races”.
the applicable data protection law means the legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals and, in particular, their right to privacy with respect to the processing of personal data applicable to a data controller in the Member State in which the data exporter is established;
Commissioner of Competition means the Commissioner of Competition appointed pursuant to Subsection 7(1) of the Competition Act or his designee.
Non-Competition Agreements has the meaning set out in Section 7.1.1.7;
Non-Competition Agreement has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1 of this Agreement.
Applicable State Law For purposes of Section 9.12(d), the Applicable State Law shall be (a) the law of the State of New York and (b) such other state law whose applicability shall have been brought to the attention of the Securities Administrator and the Trustee by either (i) an Opinion of Counsel reasonably acceptable to the Securities Administrator and the Trustee delivered to it by the Master Servicer or the Depositor, or (ii) written notice from the appropriate taxing authority as to the applicability of such state law.
EU Data Protection Law means (i) prior to 25 May 2018, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data ("Directive") and on and after 25 May 2018, Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); and (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of Personal Data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and applicable national implementations of it (as may be amended, superseded or replaced).
Competition Act Approval means that the Commissioner: (a) shall have issued an ARC, or (b) the applicable waiting period under section 123 of the Competition Act shall have expired or been terminated by the Commissioner, or the obligation to submit a notification shall have been waived under paragraph 113(c) of the Competition Act, and the Commissioner shall have issued a No-Action Letter;
Noncompetition Period has the meaning set forth in Section 9.01.
Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).
bye-law means a bye-law framed by the corporation under this Act;
Promotion of Access to Information Act means the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000)
Applicable Data Protection Legislation means any national or internationally binding data protection laws or regulations (including but not limited to the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (“DSG”)) including any requirements, guidelines and recommendations of the competent data protection authorities applicable at any time during the term of this DPA to, as the case may be, the Data Controller or the Data Processor;
European Data Protection Law means, as applicable: (a) the GDPR; and/or (b) the Federal Data Protection Act of 19 June 0000 (Xxxxxxxxxxx).
SEBI Act or “Act” means the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992;
Anti-Corruption Law means, as to any person, the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, the UK Bribery Act of 2010 and any other similar anti-corruption laws of the European Union.
Jurisprudence requirement means the assessment of an individual's knowledge of the laws and rules governing the practice of physical therapy in a state.
POPI Act means the Protection of Personal Information Act, No.4 of 2013;
