Approved Receptacle definition

Approved Receptacle means an approved fire pit, approved outdoor barbeque, approved outdoor fireplace or approved outdoor warming fire receptacle that meets the requirements set out in this Part;
Approved Receptacle means a strong plastic or galvanized iron container, circular in design, with volume capacity not to exceed eighty (80) litres and having a secure, watertight cover or lid, or other suitable sanitary container approved by the Director as of suitable design and size to hold and contain the residential refuse from the dwelling it is designed to serve. "Contractor" means the person with whom the Regional District has a contract for the collection and disposal of residential refuse. "Director" means the Director of Environmental Services for the Regional District or his duly authorized representative. "Disposal Site" means the property maintained and operated by the Regional District for the disposal of Municipal Solid Waste in the location prescribed in Schedule “A”. “Dwelling Unit" means a self-contained unit consisting of one or more rooms designed, occupied, or intended for occupancy, as a separate household with sleeping and sanitary facilities and not more than one set of kitchen and cooking facilities, but specifically excluding recreational vehicles. "Eligible Property" means a parcel on which one or more residences have been placed or constructed, as long as the combined total number of Dwelling Units per parcel is no greater than two. “Improved Property" means any parcel within the Service Area of the Regional District upon which buildings or structures have been placed or CONSOLIDATED Bylaw No. 1903 - “▇▇▇▇▇▇ Island Solid Waste LSA Regulations and Rates Bylaw 1997 Page 4 constructed and which is occupied for industrial or commercial use.
Approved Receptacle and “Receptacle” shall mean a type of receptacle designed for the storage of waste between Collection times that prevents access to such waste by domestic animals and wildlife, and the design, construction and location of which has been approved by the Municipal Manager;
