Approved Receptacle definition

Approved Receptacle means an approved fire pit, approved outdoor barbeque, approved outdoor fireplace or approved outdoor warming fire receptacle that meets the requirements set out in this Part;
Approved Receptacle means a strong plastic or galvanized iron container, circular in design, with volume capacity not to exceed eighty (80) litres and having a secure, watertight cover or lid, or other suitable sanitary container approved by the Director as of suitable design and size to hold and contain the residential refuse from the dwelling it is designed to serve. "Contractor" means the person with whom the Regional District has a contract for the collection and disposal of residential refuse. "Director" means the Director of Environmental Services for the Regional District or his duly authorized representative. "Disposal Site" means the property maintained and operated by the Regional District for the disposal of Municipal Solid Waste in the location prescribed in Schedule “A”. “Dwelling Unit" means a self-contained unit consisting of one or more rooms designed, occupied, or intended for occupancy, as a separate household with sleeping and sanitary facilities and not more than one set of kitchen and cooking facilities, but specifically excluding recreational vehicles. "Eligible Property" means a parcel on which one or more residences have been placed or constructed, as long as the combined total number of Dwelling Units per parcel is no greater than two. “Improved Property" means any parcel within the Service Area of the Regional District upon which buildings or structures have been placed or CONSOLIDATED Bylaw No. 1903 - “Xxxxxx Island Solid Waste LSA Regulations and Rates Bylaw 1997 Page 4 constructed and which is occupied for industrial or commercial use.
Approved Receptacle means a type of container designed for the storage of waste between collection times that prevents access to waste or recyclable waste by domestic animals and wildlife and the design and construction of which has been approved by the Director;

  • One yellow 240 litre approved receptacle for Recycling and one green 120 litre Approved Receptacle for Refuse will be made available by or on behalf of the Council to each occupied property, the cost of which will be covered by property rates.

  • Unacceptable Waste means all waste not authorized for disposal at the Columbia Ridge Landfill and Recycling Center or successor site designated by the City, by those governmental entities having jurisdiction or any waste the disposal of which would constitute a violation of any governmental requirement pertaining to the environment, health or safety. Unacceptable Waste includes any waste that is now or hereafter defined by federal law or by the disposal jurisdiction as radioactive, dangerous, hazardous or extremely hazardous waste and vehicle tires in excess of those permitted to be disposed of by the laws of the disposal jurisdiction.

  • Regulated air pollutant means the following:

  • Chemical substance means a substance intended to be used as a precursor in the manufacture of a controlled substance or any other chemical intended to be used in the manufacture of a controlled substance. Intent under this subsection may be demonstrated by the substance's use, quantity, manner of storage, or proximity to other precursors or to manufacturing equipment.

  • Hazardous substance UST system means an UST system that contains a hazardous substance defined in section 101(14) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 (but not including any substance regulated as a hazardous waste under subtitle C) or any mixture of such substances and petroleum, and which is not a petroleum UST system.

  • Vapor control system means a system that prevents release to the atmosphere of gasoline vapors in excess of 80 milligrams per liter of gasoline loaded (4.7 grains per liter).

  • Low-level radioactive waste or “waste” means radioactive material that consists of or contains class A, B, or C radioactive waste as defined by 10 C.F.R. 61.55, as in effect on January 26, 1983, but does not include waste or material that is any of the following:

  • Excluded Waste means waste material of the nature that the Project is not designed or authorised to receive, manage, process and dispose which includes (i) Hazardous Waste, (ii) Bio-Medical Waste (iii) Dead Remains, (iv) E- Waste and (v) construction and demolition waste;
