Area Representative definition

Area Representative means a member of the Bargaining Unit in each workplace who has been elected by the other members at their workplace, or if necessary, appointed by the Executive. It is the duty of the “Area Representative” to act as liaison between workplace members and the Unit Executive.
Area Representative means the Member of the Bargaining Unit who has been elected to coordinate OSSTF activities within a given Organizational Area.
Area Representative shall include all persons who succeed to the interest of the original Area Representative by transfer or operation of law and shall be deemed to include not only the individual or entity defined as "Area Representative" in the introductory paragraph of this Agreement, but shall also include all partners of the entity that executes this Agreement, in the event said entity is a partnership, and all shareholders, officers and directors of the entity that executes this Agreement, in the event said entity is a corporation. By their signatures hereto, all partners, shareholders, officers and directors of the entity that signs this Agreement as Area Representative acknowledge and accept the duties and obligations imposed upon each of them, individually, by the terms of this Agreement.
