Asphalt Raker means one who distributes asphalted road-building materials evenly over a road surface by raking and brushing material to correct thickness; directs asphalt shovelers when to add or take away material to fill low spots or to reduce high spots; and may perform other related duties.

  • Asphalt means a dark brown to black cement-like material (solid, semisolid, or liquid in consistency) in which the predominating constituents are bitumens which occur in nature as such or which are obtained as residue in refining petroleum.
