AWT Facilities means the advanced water treatment facilities portion of the Project that provides advanced treatment to source water that has undergone secondary treatment at the Regional Treatment Plant, including any advanced water treatment facilities constructed as part of the Expansion.

• The Water District shall use its best efforts to operate the AWT Facilities without total plant shutdowns except for scheduled maintenance, suspension or shutdown mandated by a regulatory agency, or conditions outside of the reasonable control of the Water District; and Water District will use its best efforts to provide 48 hours written notice to the Sanitation District and obtain receipt of the Sanitation District’s concurrence prior to any shutdown.
