Base Editor definition

Base Editor means [**].
Base Editor means a macromolecule or macromolecular complex that is intended to [***] a nucleobase in a polynucleic acid sequence into another nucleobase (e.g., a transition or transversion) in one location or two or more locations within a base editing window [***]. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Base Editor shall exclude a macromolecule or macromolecular complex that is a Prime Editor.

Examples of Base Editor in a sentence

  • Verve or its designee shall have sole responsibility and discretion in formulating the regulatory strategy for any Nuclease Product or Base Editor Product that, in each case, is not either a Collaboration Product or Opt-In Product.

  • Subject to the licenses granted to Verve under Section 2.1.1 and 2.1.4 and the rights retained by Beam under Section 2.1.6, the entire right, title and interest in and to the Beam Base Editor Technology, Beam Collaboration Technology and Beam Delivery Technology shall be owned solely by Beam.

  • Verve shall initiate discovery efforts as contemplated under the Research Plan for a Base Editor Product directed towards [**].

  • Rodi to the new position of Knowledge Base Editor on the Executive Committee.

  • If Beam has Manufactured clinical supplies of a Licensed Base Editor Product, the Parties will discuss, [**].

  • Beam shall have the sole right to initiate and prosecute such legal action at its own expense and in the name of Beam and, if requested by Beam in the name of Verve, or to control the defense of any declaratory judgment action relating to Beam Base Editor Technology, Beam Collaboration Technology and Beam Delivery Technology.

  • Promptly after the Effective Date, the Parties shall agree to a plan (including a timeline) in which each Party shall disclose to the other Party on an ongoing basis during the Term in English and in writing or in an electronic format all Beam Base Editor Technology and all Collaboration Technology respectively, to the extent not previously disclosed (as may be amended from time to time in accordance with this Agreement, the “Technology Transfer Plan”).

  • If Verve does not provide the notice described in clause (b) of this Section 2.4.3 or indicates in such written notice that it does not wish to obtain a sublicense under the relevant Patent Right or Know-How, such Patent Right or Know-How is hereby deemed not to be a Beam Base Editor Patent Right, Beam Base Editor Know-How, Beam C2C1 Patent Right or Beam C2C1 Know-How hereunder.

  • Editor means a natural person or a number of natural persons possibly grouped in a body, regardless of its legal form, status and composition, that takes or supervises editorial decisions within a media service provider;
