Basic Chemical definition

Basic Chemical means a chemical having a molecular weight of less than [*] which is suitable for use as a feedstock for multiple chemical reactions. By way of illustration and without limitation, a chemical monomer or oligomer suitable for polymerization, or a carbohydrate intended for use as a carbon source in fermentation, would each be a Basic Chemical, if the applicable molecule had a molecular weight of less than [*].
