Breast reconstruction definition

Breast reconstruction means both of the following:
Breast reconstruction means reconstruction of a breast incident to mastectomy to restore or achieve breast symmetry. The term includes surgical reconstruction of a breast on which mastectomy has been performed and surgical reconstruction of a breast on which mastectomy has not been performed.

  • Reconstruction means the replacement of components of an existing facility to such an extent that:

  • Rehabilitation facility means a non-residential facility that provides therapy and training rehabilitation services at a single location in a coordinated fashion, by or under the supervision of a physician pursuant to the law of the jurisdiction in which treatment is provided. The center may offer occupational therapy, physical therapy, vocational training, and special training such as speech therapy. The facility may be either of the following:

  • Mastectomy means the surgical removal of all or part of a breast.

  • Certified rehabilitation means repairs or alterations consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and certified as such by the State Historic Preservation Officer before commencement of the work. The review by the State Historic Preservation Officer shall include all repairs, alterations, rehabilitation, and new construction on the certified historic residential structure and the property on which it is located. To qualify for the credit, the taxpayer shall receive documentation from the State Historic Preservation Officer verifying that the completed project was rehabilitated in accordance with the standards for rehabilitation. The rehabilitation expenses must, within a thirty‑six‑month period, exceed fifteen thousand dollars. A taxpayer shall not take more than one credit on the same certified historic residential structure within ten years.

  • Reconstructed vehicle means every vehicle of a type required to be registered under this title

  • Rehabilitation means the repair, renovation, alteration or reconstruction of any building or structure, pursuant to the Rehabilitation Subcode, N.J.A.C. 5:23-6.

  • Substantial rehabilitation means, with respect to the SAIL Program, to bring a Development back to its original state with added improvements, where the value of such repairs or improvements (excluding the costs of acquiring or moving a structure) exceeds 40 percent of the appraised as is value (excluding land) of such Development before repair and less than 50 percent of the proposed construction work consists of new construction. For purposes of this definition, the value of the repairs or improvements means the Development Cost. To be considered “Substantial Rehabilitation,” there must be at least the foundations remaining from the previous structures, suitable to support the proposed construction.

  • Demolition means the wrecking or taking out of any load-supporting structural member of a facility together with any related handling operations or the intentional burning of any facility.

  • Rehabilitation services means face-to-face individual or group services provided by qualified staff to develop skill necessary to perform activities of daily living and successful integration into community life.

  • Detoxification means a process whereby an alcohol or drug intoxicated, or alcohol or drug dependent, individual is assisted through the period of time necessary to eliminate, by metabolic or other means, the intoxicating alcohol or drug, alcohol or drug dependent factors, or alcohol in combination with drugs, as determined by a licensed Health Professional, while keeping the physiological risk to the individual at a minimum.

  • Membrane filtration means a pressure or vacuum driven separation process in which particulate matter larger than one micrometer is rejected by an engineered barrier, primarily through a size exclusion mechanism, and which has a measurable removal efficiency of a target organism that can be verified through the application of a direct integrity test. This definition includes the common membrane technologies of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis.

  • Rehabilitation Hospital means an Institution which mainly provides therapeutic and restorative services to Sick or Injured people. It is recognized as such if:

  • Self-contained breathing apparatus or "SCBA" means an atmosphere-supplying respirator for which the breathing air source is designed to be carried by the user.
